What you see here is a small, curated glimpse into that work – before-and-after moments that show how thoughtful design and precise execution can completely reframe a space.
Each “after” represents months of planning, coordination, and craftsmanship. Behind every image are structural adjustments, reimagined layouts, tailored storage, layered lighting, and materials selected not just for beauty, but for durability and daily life.
These examples are only a fraction of the full portfolio. Many of our projects are private, and much of the detail lives in the joinery, in the way light moves through a room, and in the quiet ease of living in a space that has been properly designed and built.

Taragano Design and Build is a licensed design-build contractor, CSLB #1143420, based in Concord and working across the East Bay and Contra Costa County. Every project shown here was carried out by one team, from the first design sketch through the final walkthrough, under a single contract, and backed by Diamond Certified and BBB accreditation.
This portfolio spans the full range of what we build: kitchen remodels, bathroom renovations, ADUs, home additions, whole-house remodels, and custom new homes. Each service page goes further into that specific project type, our process, and what it typically involves.
That standard isn’t self-reported. Diamond Certified ratings come from confidential phone interviews with a random sample of a company’s own past customers, scored against a 90-out-of-100 threshold for quality and expertise, alongside a pass/fail check on license, insurance, and business practices. Taragano holds that certification, which means the “before” and “after” you see here reflect what real, independently surveyed clients experienced, not just what we say about our own work.

Not every project begins with a full-home remodel. Often, the most meaningful change starts with one element – the staircase you see every time you walk in, the fireplace your family gathers around, or the deck that connects your living room to the outdoors.
We design and build individual features with the same level of care we bring to larger projects. From sculptural staircases and custom fireplaces or fire pits to tailored lighting, interior and exterior doors, and outdoor decks, each piece is treated as an opportunity to elevate the entire home.
